National Youth Week 2017 Grant Applications Now Open!

Applications are now open for Nationa Youth Week 2017. Any non-government organisations, State Government agencies and local councils who work directly with youth aged between 12 - 25 are urged to participate in Youth Week and apply for a grant to fund the event.

Organisations have until 5pm, Friday 18 November 2016 to apply for grants of $2,000 or $4,000 to fund National Youth Week 2017 events and activities.

An additional $7,000 is also available for an eligible organisation to host the official South Australian launch.

Running from 31 March to 9 April 2017, the theme for this year is youTHRIVE  - the importance of young South Australian’s physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing.

For the festivities and events run in National Youth Week, community organisations and councils are urged to consult youth to find how they would like it to be celebrated.

During the 2016 National Youth Week, up to 1,000 young people planned and delivered events such as sporting activities, personal development workshops, colour runs, festival and battle of the band events, community events, art and music exhibitions and youth forums.
