In the tenth issue of Morialta Matters I discuss the recent forum I held regarding the Development of the Magill Training Centre land along with some State-wide organisations.  The good results local organisations are achieving is also discussed and I touch on the story of a local hero. 

The Black Hill Challenge is a 15 kilometre run from Foxfield Oval, Maryvale Road, Athelstone into Black Hill Conservation Park and returning to Foxfield Oval.

The ninth issue of Morialta Matters discusses the mothballing of Adelaide's desalination plant, the changes to the Morialta electorate in the electoral redistribution and also some local community events.

Jamie Briggs MP, Member for Mayo, recently held a series of community meetings around his electorate to talk about the National Disability Insurance Scheme with Senator Mitch Fifield (Federal Shadow Disabilities Minister). I was pleased to join Jamie and Mitch and make a few brief comments at the Mount Barker meeting.

Brain Injury Awareness Week in South Australia takes place from 6-10 August, supported by BINSA (Brain Injury Network, SA).

In the eighth edition of Morialta Matters I discuss the implications of the Labor Government's tenth budget for both the State as a whole and for families in general.  There are also details about a number of local community groups and the great work they do.

On 19th May 2011, the Rann Government adjourned John's Private Members' Bill which would require that Parliament be televised.
