Mr GARDNER(Morialta) (14:30): My question is to the Minister for Education and Child Development. Will families living within the new shared zone for the two city high schools be the ones who decide which of those two schools their child goes to, or will the department allocate students based on specific enrolment criteria that are now being developed?
Mr GARDNER(Morialta) (15:07): Today, I wish to bring to members' attention some information that has been presented to me by Mayor Kevin Knight of the City of Tea Tree Gully in relation to the issue of removal of vehicles. Mayor Knight wrote to me last week, and I assume that he has also written to a number of other members of parliament representing constituents in the Tea Tree Gully area. Either way, for the benefit of the house, I will quote his letter to ensure that his message is accurately represented and so that all members may consider his point of view:
Mr GARDNER(Morialta) (14:50): My question is to the Minister for Education and Child Development. Are the three Department for Education and Child Development staff members, particularly identified by Magistrate Susan O'Connor in her reasons for dismissing the charges against Jemima Raymond, still in their positions at the school?
Mr GARDNER(Morialta) (14:34): My question is to the Minister for Local Government. Does the minister intend to approve the request of the Adelaide Hills Council to abolish their ward system, despite the opposition of the vast majority of the hundreds of public responses; and despite that vote being taken when two councillors opposed to the abolition were on prearranged leave?
Mr GARDNER(Morialta) (15:05): My question is to the Minister for Education and Child Development. What has the government done to respond to the Ombudsman's audit of DECD's education-related complaint handling practices, released in November last year?
Mr GARDNER(Morialta) (15:04): My question is to the Minister for Education and Child Development. Is the minister aware of a serious incident at a DECD school where a child was allegedly physically assaulted in retaliation for reporting issues relating to drug dealing?
Mr GARDNER(Morialta) (15:02): My question is to the Minister for Education and Child Development. How many attendance officers are currently working in the education department and how many of the 60 behaviour support coaches, promised to be engaged by the end of last year, has the department, in fact, employed?
Mr GARDNER(Morialta) (15:12): Sir, my question is to you in your capacity as the Speaker. Given the responsibility that you have to advise the Governor to issue a writ for a by-election if a member resigns, what is the process if you yourself were to resign from this place?
Mr TARZIA(Hartley) (14:22): My question is to the Minister for Multicultural Affairs. Can the minister inform the house why the Punjabi Association of South Australia was unsuccessful in obtaining Grants SA funding from the state government this year?
