The State Liberals are calling on the Minister for Education Susan Close to ensure the assessment of South Australia’s child care centres is lifted to at least the national average in the shortest possible time.
“Given every state and territory has the same Federal funding arrangement, based on the number of services that exist in their jurisdiction, why are we lagging so far behind the rest of the country?” said Shadow Minister for Education John Gardner.
“Why can Tasmania assess 96 per cent of its services under the same funding arrangements and yet SA has only managed to assess 81 per cent?”
